About

The Grand Bahama Children’s Home was formed to help care for children who needed to be removed from their families for reasons of abandonment, abuse or neglect. The home cares for up to forty (40) children ages 0 to 12 years.

The Grand Bahama Children’s Home is funded in part by an annual grant from The Bahamas Government which covers most of the staff salaries. The remainder of the Home’s operational expenses – including all utilities, food, clothing, school supplies, medical and dental costs, transportation costs and all the other operational costs are funded by private donations from Bahamian residents, National corporate citizens, international well wishers and the Home’s fundraising activities.

The home is jointly funded by the Bahamas government, The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited and the Grand Bahama Community.
